Michele M. Ridge 2002

She has been an effective advocate for literacy, education and the arts as Director of the Erie County Library System and incorporator of the Cultural Arts Center in Erie. As First Lady of Pennsylvania, she focused her efforts on the prevention of violence by and against young people and served on several state-wide commissions to enhance services for children and families. She has received many honors for both her professional and volunteer work.
