Margaret Mainwaring 2004

The first woman Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, she founded and chaired the School of Nursing Board of Overseers, served on the Hospital and Medical Center board, chaired the General Alumni Society, and was president of the Alumnae Association and the Trustees? Council of Penn Women. A patron of the arts, she created the Margaret R. Mainwaring Endowment for Curatorial Fellowships at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
