Loretta Sweet Jemmott 2007

A professor at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing and School of Medicine, she is nationally recognized for her research in HIV/AIDS prevention among African American adolescents. Her evidence-based risk-reduction intervention curricula have been disseminated nationwide and adapted for use internationally. Actively involved in minority health issues, she has built partnerships among agencies and organizations to improve the quality of life among various racial and ethnic groups.
