Ruth DuBois 2005

She has effected significant change in the fields of substance abuse, violence, and other inappropriate behaviors in children. She developed a model substance abuse and violence prevention and intervention program currently used in Philadelphia schools. As a member of the Governor's Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, she initiated standards for prevention programs which were adopted as a national model by the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
