Kathleen Marshall has received wide acclaim as a successful Broadway director and choreographer. Her extraordinary creativity and talent have been recognized by the coveted Drama Desk and Tony Awards for her musicals Nice Work if You Can Get It, Anything Goes, The Pajama Game, Wonderful Town and Kiss Me Kate. Raised in Pittsburgh since the age of two, Kathleen graduated from Smith College and began her professional career in Pittsburgh regional theater. In a highly-competitive profession dominated by men, she went on to choreograph and direct some of America’s best-loved Broadway musicals. Admired by her peers and loved by audiences, Kathleen Marshall is known for her extraordinary musicality, her ability to elicit fresh performances from seasoned veterans and her skill in making all aspects of the production and its personalities coalesce. From her early days in the chorus at the Pittsburgh Light Opera and the Pittsburgh Playhouse to the present, Kathleen Marshall has demonstrated an incredible talent that has been appreciated by audiences far and wide.
